Abigail Owen

Associate

Abigail acts for and advises clients in all aspects of workplace law, including in employment, labour, human rights, pensions, privacy, and occupational health and safety matters. She additionally practices in the area of administrative law. Abigail has appeared before the British Columbia Labour Relations Board, the British Columbia Human Rights Tribunal, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the Provincial Court of British Columbia; and, she has assisted with matters before the British Columbia Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada.

Prior to joining Zacharias Vickers McCann, Abigail articled and practiced at a large workplace law firm in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Abigail received her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2021. While attending law school, Abigail was a student clinician at Rise Women’s Legal Center where she represented self-identifying women in family law and immigration matters. She was also a student ambassador and a twice-elected member of the UBC Law Students’ Society. In recognition of her legal aptitude and academic excellence, Abigail received the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP A.J. McClean Prize in Trusts.
